Getting stuff done

Started off my day with a trip to the market. I picked up ricotta, prosciutto (semi-dolce), mozzarella, a baguette, oranges, arugula, and tomatoes. Oh, and a can of condensed milk because I have been craving something sweet like dulce de leche. It's currently boiling away on my bunsen burner.

The oranges come in these beautiful wrappers;
haha to this sign;
amazing sandwiches filled with ricotta (we added pepper, lemon zest, and olive oil to it), prosciutto, and arugula on baguette. I got the inspiration from this recipe. Simple and fresh!

After lunch, we bought our Friends of the Uffizi Pass which, for 40 Euros, gives you a year's worth of entrance to a ton of museums, including the Pitti Palace, the Accademia Gallery, the Uffizi Gallery, and so many more. It is an amazing deal, and I can't wait to become more cultured (hi parents!)

We made a quick trip to the Santa Maria Novella train station which just a quick walk away from us, to buy tickets to go to Siena tomorrow. Siena is really close (about an hour away), and inexpensive to get to. We will be planning a ton of day trips for the next few weeks... until the REAL traveling starts. I can't wait!

Ciao!
